Have you ever thought about giving it all up? The house? The job? Day-to-day normalcy?

Meet a couple who is on the hunt to collect experiences and moments, not possessions. With a moniker of the “Wandering La Vignes,” Justin and Patrice La Vigne are tried and true modern-day nomads since 2011, living a very nontraditional life … and making it work! With more than 12,000 trail miles between them, it’s safe to say they spend more time hiking in the backcountry than trekking city streets. It’s what they learn about themselves, along the way, which points them toward their true north and purpose in life. Even though the Wandering La Vignes have some big goals (hint: 20,310 feet), their travels show us that even just taking smaller leaps of faith can lead to endless learning and play.

Key takeaways:

  • Score a panoramic view of best practices for disappearing from traditional norms in favor of a freer, more expansive existence.
  • Say hello and treat everyone like they are a CEO, never knowing what opportunities present from serendipitous and unexpected moments.
  • Throw caution to the wind; failures and mistakes are all part of the unscripted story.
  • Create your own happiness and make every day an adventure by adopting an out-of-the-box philosophy.
  • Recalibrate your partnership every day. Accept that sometimes you may have to set up the tent, cook over the camp stove, and fetch the water all on your own.

Tune in and turn the volume up for a dose of inspiration and life lessons.
That’s how we Live Lead and Play!
