Uncertainty… It’s the most common thing that I hear from new solo-preneurs and small business owners about money. Uncertainty about when the money’s going to come in and where the money’s going to come from.

Let me tell you a little secret that you may or may not want to hear: we live in an uncertain world. And that’s exactly what makes this world magical, full of joy, full of possibilities, and challenging all at the same time. Yet, uncertainty always brings with it opportunities. Once you’re willing to accept that, your business will run smoother and your thoughts will shift from lack to abundance. You will tip the scales towards creativity and fluidity in your mindset and, in effect, the results will show up in your bank account.

When you release yourself from “what is,” you can let “what you want” happen. Letting go and letting be is a choice. Always.

Keep in mind– yet another secret you may or may not want to hear from me– the “uncertainty excuse” may have been the crutch you’ve used in order to procrastinate when it comes to getting what you want from your business and your money.

Once you let go of that resistance, you can get down to the work of clarifying what it is you really want.

If you want to be financially successful, you have to stop blaming uncertainty.

Here are some questions to help you get super clear about the most common links around money anxiety, how to minimize uncertainty, and start creating the money you desire:

  • What are your business’s income and expenses? Or better said, what are your expenses and what income do you desire in order to meet those expenses and beyond?
  • What are your financial goals? This month? This year?
  • What do your ideal clients or target market desperately need? Do your products or services satisfy that?
  • What are the prices of your products/services? Could you deliver additional value to existing products/services?
  • How many people do you need to reach to effectively market your service or your product and/or what additional value do you want to deliver to produce that income?

Money’s a two-part game in business and in life. Your head needs to be in alignment with what you value, including yourself and your mission for your business, and you have to know your numbers.
